Matthew Centrowitz Confirmed for Two Meets in Brisbane, Australia This MonthBy Adam Kopet As has been previously reported, Matthew Centrowitz is headed down under to start his outdoor season. The reigning Olympic champion at 1,500 meters skipped the indoor season and is scheduled to race twice in Brisbane, Australia, at the end of the month, according to Paul Malone of the Courier Mail. Centrowitz is scheduled to race in meets on March 22 and 28. The latter is the Queensland Track Classic, where Centrowitz will race the 1,500. Many athletes are competing this month in Australia with the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast next month. Brisbane is less than 50 miles north of Gold Coast. Sprinter Isaac Makwala from Botswana is scheduled to race the 200 at the Queensland Track Classic. He was the world leader in the event last year.
